I. Scope and Application This Privacy and Cookie Statement (“Statement") applies to your use (as a “User”) of our Services.
IV. Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Data We collect, process and use your personal data as described below. In some cases we require your consent to such collection, processing and use. By ticking the appropriate tick box during the sign-up process for the Rodo App, you consent to the respective collection, processing and use of your personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of our processing of your data prior to such withdrawal, e.g. by contacting us at privacy@Rodo.com. We use the personal data we collect about you in the following ways: i. Personal Data You Provide to Us. We will use this personal data: to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and use and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us; to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about; to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods and service we feel may interest you. If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (email or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you. If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your personal data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.; to notify you about changes to our Services; to ensure that content from our Services is presented in the most effective manner for you and your device. ii. Personal Data We Collect Through Your Use of Our Services. We will use this personal data: to administer our Services and for internal operations, including, for example, to prevent fraud and abuse of our Services; to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems; to conduct data analysis, testing, and research; and to monitor and analyze usage and activity trends; to personalize and improve the Services, including to provide or recommend features, content, social connections, and advertisements. to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services, when you choose to do so; to send you communications we think will be of interest to you, including information about products, services, promotions, news, and events of Rodo and other companies. iii. Personal Data We Collect from Other Sources We will combine this personal data with personal data you give to us and personal data we collect about you. We will use this personal data and the combined personal data for the purposes set out above (depending on the types of personal data we receive).
V. Sharing of Personal data We may share the personal data we collect about you as described in this Statement or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows: i. Through Our Services We may share your personal data: With other users, as requested or directed by you, when you wish to share your profile and trip data to engage in social activities or to obtain a promotion code; With third parties to provide you a service you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us; With the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of our Services that are viewable by the general public; With third parties with whom you choose to let us share personal data, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our application programming interface ("API") or Services, or those with an API or Service with which we integrate. ii. Other Important Sharing We may share your personal data: With Rodo subsidiaries and affiliated entities that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf, or for data centralization and / or logistics purposes; With vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such personal data to carry out work on our behalf for the performance of any contract we enter into with them; In response to a request for personal data by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process; With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties such as a claims processor or an insurer if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our service terms and conditions for Users, policies or statements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rodo or others, or if there is a complaint, dispute or conflict, which may include an accident, involving you and a third party and such personal data is necessary to resolve this; If we otherwise notify you and you consent to the sharing; and In an aggregated and/or anonymized form which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
VI. Social Sharing Features The Services may integrate with social sharing features and other related tools which let you share actions you take on our Services with other apps, sites, or media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the social sharing service. Please refer to the privacy policies of those social sharing services for more information about how they handle the data you provide to or share through them.
VII. Where We Process and Use Your Personal Data The data that we collect from you will be transferred to, and processed and used at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"), such as China and Singapore, which may have a level of data protection different from the one in the EEA. It will also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us. This includes staff engaged in, among other things, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. The European Commission has not made an adequacy decision in respect of China or Singapore so any such transfer will be based on your consent to such transfer.
VIII. Your Choices / Rights i. Account Data You may correct your account data at any time by logging into your online or in-app account. If you wish to cancel your account, please email us at email@example.com. Please note that in some cases we may retain certain personal data about you as required by law, or for legitimate business purposes to the extent permitted by law. For instance, if you have a standing credit or debt on your account, or if we believe you have committed fraud or violated our service terms and conditions, we may seek to resolve the issue before erasing your personal data. ii. Your Rights You have the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing or to object to processing as well as the right to transmit your personal data to another controller. iii. Location Data As referred to above, we request consent for the Rodo App's collection of precise location from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. If you initially permit the collection of this data, you can later disable it by changing the location settings on your mobile device. However, this will limit your ability to use certain features of our Services. iv. Complaints You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes your data protection rights. v. Contact Data We may also seek your consent for the Rodo App's collection and syncing of contact data from your device per the permission system used by your mobile operating system. If you initially permit the collection of this personal data, iOS users can later disable it by changing the contacts settings on your mobile device. Please note that the Android Platform does not provide such a setting. vi. Promotional Communications and Marketing You may opt out of receiving promotional messages from us by following the instructions in those messages. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, about Services you have requested, or our ongoing business relations. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your personal data to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. If we make significant changes in the way we treat your personal data, or to this Statement, we will provide you notice through the Services or by some other means, such as email.
